Hopefully this is a simple request....does anyone know where the HCM (Headlamp Control Module) is located on a 2015 Jaguar XJ L 3.0L? I thought it was under the right dash, but after pulling back the carpet and taking off the decorative covers, I could not locate it. Do you need to take the glove compartment out/off? Thanks for the help.

 

As for the HCM location, what you said is correct. Fist, your Jag has AFS HeadLamp, right? Because Jag controls headlamp leveling in BCM without HCM.

 

AHHHH...Maybe that is why I cannot find it. I have the dreaded blinking Adaptive Headlamp warning light. After researching it online, I thought I needed to replace the HCM. You're hankssaying I need to replace the BCM (Body Control Module)?

If AFS warning is lit, you probably have an HCM. Ii needs to be here. On some XJ(Maybe 17MY later), it's behind the steering wheel, however, 15MY should be in this location. Check your DTCs. Is the warning related to AFS?

 

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the picture....That helps tremendously. I will have to research the the DTCs and find out if it is the AFS.

 

Unfortunately....the HCM is not in that location...plus the DTCs does not flag any error codes.

Do you have any other idea where the HCM is located? Or do you think I might not have one?

Do you have any pictures or video of what's problems? I checked the repair manual on TOPIx and HCM location for 2015MY is clear.
