I stumbled on a 1996 XJ 12 today with 65K miles and very nice, this car has been sitting since 2007
My Question i have not paid much attention to this model and need your input on things to watch for, excluding rodents and rust , any help will be appreciated.

If the price is right nothing is a problem but sitting for a few years doesn't do any car any good
but on the other its the last car of an era and in so will be collectable sooner or later

If you are mechanically minded they are easy to work on if not find a reputable repairer search a few forums as on this forum
I am not from your part of the world as I have a fantastic independent specialist and I travel 160 k,s to get to his shop lucky he is next to the train station
If that car was in Australia I would be interested as well
as I said before not many of these where made in the X300 body its rare and desirable last of an ERA

If it was this one it's been relisted after a non-payment:

Jaguar : XJ 4 DOOR SEDAN in Jaguar | eBay Motors

10K more miles than what you stated, but figured they might be the same car.

Good luck. I'm convinced these were the best of the 12cyl sedans with the EDIS ignition and several other problems sorted out.

Watch out for driveline vibrations and leaky power steering. Neither are cheap or easy to replace, but fixable and liveable in the meantime.
