Default Rear suspension to frame mounts. Do you recognize these??

I bought a 1962 Mk2 body shell a few years back, and since it was a storage unit find, the seller had zero info on the build/builder. There was LOTS of work done on the frame and firewall and floorpans, and I THINK the builder was attemping to use a X305 V8 and drivetrain/suspension. Do these single point mounts look like an X305 set-up??? Any insight would be appreciated.

G’day Ponysnake,

Those look like the radius arm fittings found on earlier XJ 6’s. Whoever started the mod may have been planning on using an XJ6 IRS.

This is what I mean though it is not a good pic.

I haven’t seen anything like that on my X305.

Another thought, the S Type Jag which followed the MkII had an IRS so maybe that was the plan.

Cheers,
Jeff.

That's the standard radius arm anchor for the venerable 60s, 70s and 80s Jaguar IRS.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar...ear_suspension

Is it a Mark 2 with a solid rear axle or a later 240 / 340 ( Sept . 1966 )

Someone would know better then me

First generation Jaguar IRS (1961–1986)
