Jaguar just told me i cannot put a stereo in my car. Is this true. They told me i can retrofit because the software would not be compaitble because my car was on the assembly line in 04. I seriously need some help. I have the six speaker system with all the mics and phone buttons on my stock stereo but none of them work.

 

The first problem was that you went to Jaguar. Go to an independent stereo/electronics shop instead.

I have called the one shop in Missoula mt and they have nothing. I called car toys and they said it would have to be a custom job and i am trying to find someone on one of these forums that have done it so i can buy the stuff and have my mechanic put it in.

Do you have the NAV unit or the basic set up?
Have you checked the switches and fuses for the steering wheel control unit?
Do you have the CD Changer?
Could do with a little more information.

It is all basic. cd player no cd changer. My steering wheel controls work with my stock deck. I have not checked anything. It is a base model and it has phone buttons and keypad on the stereo but none of that works. Also, i have all of the mics but this model does not come with Jaguar voice.
