Default 2001 xjr wont start

Hi everyone. I have a a 2001 XJR supercharged machine with a no start condition. The vehicle cranks over wonderfully. I do not smell any fuel from the exhaust even when i mash the pedal down. I have checked all fuses in the engine compartment drivers side heel board and the trunk. I also tested all relays with 9 volt battery and the all check out ok. I'm not getting any codes. The car set for a long time between running. Since this is the supercharged model I'm assuming it has 2 fuel pumps. Should I hear any noise from them when trying to turn ignition on? Is there an easy port I can open up to see fuel coming out before it enters the fuel rail? Are there any other relays or hidden fuses I have not seen you could direct me too. From what I have read there is no simple way to check the fuel pumps. Thanks for your help. I did put a$1500.00 mac scout scanner on it and the scanner did not recognize the vin. I probably do not know how to operate it correctly so apologies in advance.
thanks
Gary

i don’t think these cars “know” their vin. there’s a schrader valve on the driver side right above the dipstick, should have a blue cap. you can poke it with a screwdriver to see if fuel sprays in your face or connect a real gauge.

both fuel pumps should make noise. when turning the ignition, pump 2 “primes” the rail and shuts off and then pump 1 turns on when you crank.

Best if you post in the forum for your car, which is an X308 model. This is the next forum in the list after this one.

It's the model-year breakdown. X308 is Jaguar's chassis code for the XJR from '97 to '03 (in the US,) while 2004 to 2009 (or 10?) falls into the X350/X358.

No need to say sorry ! Jaguar have been using "XJ" as a car model since the XJ6 of 1968, with 7 separate models called XJ up to the XJ6 of 2003. Funnily enough, only the X308 series of cars, (yours), had no six cylinder engine on offer, they were all V8s, but Jaguar reintroduced the XJ6 in 2003 using their own V6 engine. I had two of these and they were lovely cars, but always needed suspension joints replacing at rather too short intervals.

There is an emergency fuel cut off switch located behind the right side foot well cover. if it's tripped you'll get no fuel. There's a reset button on the top. Press to reset.
