A month ago, I had a "Check Gas Cap" error come up on the dash and a P0445 code. I have replaced the gas cap, purge valve, and cannister close valve. After driving it 300 hundred miles, I took it in for an emmissions test this weekend. The computer is saying it is "not ready" for the EVAP and O2 systems.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

 

Update....the O2 system came online and is in ready status. The EVAP system is still "not ready". I have 70 miles since I disconnected the battery. How long do I need to wait?

Your DTC appears to point to the purge control valve CIRCUIT.It may be that you need to check the supply to this valve.

Did you test the valve that you have removed-Was it faulty?

Thank you for responding. I just noticed a typo in my original post. The code was P0455, not P0445. Another fellow member had mention that replacing the purge valve and canister close valve would cure this code. I have not had any codes pop back up, but the stupid system won't come back online.

Can't help much but apparently it can take many weeks for the monitor to come on.

Googled your problem, here is one result.

Emissions test was passed this morning even though the EVAP shows not ready. Inspector said one system showing not ready is acceptable. This is in NJ. Thanks again to all who have helped me with this
