Have a 2004 XJ8 with air suspension and going to being changing transmission pan because of leak,i know there are times when the car has to be running on the lift when filling and checking fluid,just wondering if the car will go way up or down with the air sensors,i believe there is no shut off for the system

Not an issues with either of mine, as long as the battery stays charged, & is not disconnected, it should be fine.

Others will add to, or correct, if my post is wrong.

 

Hi Albert,

The Air Suspension Control Module (ASM) recognizes when the vehicle is raising but does not lower in response to commands to do so and responds by entering "Jacking Mode," which disables any further attempts to raise the vehicle. To exit Jacking Mode you only need to drive the vehicle at least 2 mph.
