Default 2004 XJ8 hard shifting after warmed up

Hey everyone!

One thing I've been noticing with my XJ8 is that the car has a tendency to shift from 2nd to 3rd gear pretty hard after the engine has warmed up. Oddly enough, it didn't occur when the engine/transmission is cold, all gears shifted smoothly and snappy. I've replaced the mechatronic seal, transmission fluid pan, and filled the transmission with the proper level of fluid, indicated by a steady dripping at 40 degrees Celcius. What could likely be the cause of this issue? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info! Can a dealer or an independent Jaguar specialist perform the software update?

Also might be related in some cases.
Rear wheel speed sensors and reluctor rings.

Generally after an oilchange you do not need to reset adaptations over Sdd . With new seals and fresh oil inside tranny, pressure loss improves( milli bar) to some degree Tcm module is capable of regulating necesssry pressure adjustments all by itself but it takes some time and miles. Drive cycle is the better solution If you do a rebuild you would need to do a reset
