Hope everything goes well Robert...it seems X350 purchase fever is running rampant, i'm also buying a new *(05) XJ next weekend.

i was snickering a bit too like george reading about the 'long drive' you were considering to see his black on black xjr...I've got a 984 mile drive after flying up north to get it. I'll share details about her later, don't want to jinx the pre-purchase phase. But, i'll share a pic! Let's just say, she's SUPER.

 

You'll enjoy the drive. I drove 1200-1300 back when I got mine from Marietta, Georgia all the way back to Midland, Michigan.

Also another for long drive back I did this to preserve the front end from bugs and stone chip.

 

Wonder what people thought as they saw you going past! Did you leave it like that Ha Ha.

 

I only took it out the second day after I arrive home. Got lots of "WTF" look when I stop at gas station and rest stop for gas and restrom run.

I spray Pam on the front for bugs, and try to keep my distance from other trucks. Ingenious, but blue?

O well looks like that deal fell through as well, think I will give up for a while and save some more money so I can go to a more main stream dealer! Very disappointed indeed.

 

Honestly, you're probably better off... Save up a bit and get one with lower miles, you'll be happier in the long run.
