2004 XJR driver seat uncomfortable
Dumb question, how would I know if I had this extendable seat of awesomeness? I actually got a pillow for an outdoor chair from Garden Ridge and tied it to the seat. It's more comfortable now but looks ridiculous. =)
So....the problem is not with the seats, it's my back.
I started getting the same pain in my wife's E-class wagon, which has much softer and smaller side bolsters. The culprit? The seat in my truck is broken (And has been for a while), which means I've been subconsciously adjusting my muscles to a significantly off-kilter seat for an hour+ each way for years. Finally caught up to me.
So I think I'll get my back fixed, instead of selling the XJ. And get the bolsters cut down (maybe by half?) and go in with softer foam.
Conversely, I could go in with 2005+ seats, that look a lot more comfortable.
Has anyone done either of these things? Would appreciate any advise and/or recommendations.
Grateful as always,
Nate
