Default 2004 XJR Front Wheel Bearings Replacement

Hi all,

I need to replace the front wheel bearings in a bad way.

Two quick questions. 1.) The job looks straightforward. Any trips or tips? I could really use any help here.
2.) Was going to get the full assembly (135k) and replace the whole thing. Cost is about 120 USD each side. TIMKEN and BECK ARNLEY parts available.... Any favorite MFG for good fitment etc? Thoughts?

Thanks all, always appreciate the feedback here !!!

Kevin

Default Thanks Don

Let me tell you bro, I was looking. I think my Friday evening search skills were garbage from a long week of working. Thanks for the direction. The link was just what the Dr ordered.

Ordered parts and will tear down next week. Love this site man!!

Thanks again

It's simple enough. Breaker bar to knock the four bolts loose that hold the hub on. That's the hardest part.

I'd double check, but think torque spec was 65 ft/lbs.
