That's my thinking, I'd rather just have them ready to go and pop them in. Then I can press new bushings in the old arms and have them ready to go for next time. I plan on keeping the car for a long while so I'm sure it will need doing again.

It's really crazy how many options there are for these arms. Have been looking up part numbers and they're just everywhere. I guess a lot of cars used the same setup so a ton of options. Trick is finding the best cost/quality compromise. I don't mind spending good money and don't want to do it all over again anytime soon, but buying OE just seems insane with their pricing so trying to figure out the best way to go.

I had changed most of the entire suspension myself but had an independent change the rear lowers and uppers while I was out of town. I bought moogs I thought would fit since they fit the 04's and think even the lower vin 06's but did not fit mine at the spindle. It was only saving about $120 for the set over the OE. I then ordered the OE Lemforder replacements. I have used Moog on several vehicles over the years and seemed to be ok but the front upper Moog control arms are not as good as the OE. I will be changing them out soon. Stay away from URO parts. You get what you pay for when it comes to Suspension parts.

In the UK I have used these people for my suspension components for my x350 and my x351, they are only 20 minutes from me and always helpful.
I dont know how competitive his prices are compared to the USA but they do ship worldwide.
I had the Lemforder original makers parts from him.

Have definitely learned my lesson with URO through my x308s. Have had a few issues with their parts. What was better about the OE fron uppers over the Moogs? Did the Moog fail already?

Odd that the rear lowers didn't fit, everything I've read says there's no issue with the early cars and Moog Ford lowers.

Thank you, very helpful! Their prices look great, but unfortunately when I went to apply the shippnig estimate it says they no longer ship to the US/Canada due to Insurance Purposes. Not sure what that means, but unfortunate news. Their cost for the Lemforder arms is the best I've seen.

What a shame about the shipping problem, they are great prices, last November I needed a pair of front "banana Arms" for my 2015 x351, they delivered next day for me and ( Anthony the owner ) told me on the phone that they were the Lemforder ones and he had just recently had the delivery in.
A lot of shipping issues have also arison since the UK left Europe.
Might it be worth phoning them to see if he will arrange something special for you, you could mention that one of his UK customers had given you his details, my name is Ivor and I have known him maybe 10 years now.

I may give that a shot, thank you again. For their prices on the better quality arms it would be worth it.

The moog rears where too narrow to fit the spindle. Some have grinded them down to fit but I decided to go OE. On the front upper moogs one has a slight creak over bumps and the other has a ball joint boot that has already pulled away from the arm.

Hey @xalty - Car is starting to squeak pretty bad and need to replace the suspension soon. Have ordered all of the front parts and rear uppers but wanted to double check on the rear lower than you linked - I noticed that these are for 04-08 S-Type & 10-15 XF fitment and also look a bit different (just the casting) than the typical 04-08 arms. Are you certain these are drop-ins for the x356 cars? Just wanted to be sure before I ordered them. If not I'll either get the Lincoln LS Moogs from RockAuto and trim the knuckle or possibly consider just replacing bushings in my OE arms. Thanks again.

Huge help, thank you. I'll order these. Would much rather have a direct fit arm than mess with chopping the knuckle or even swapping bushings on a new arm. Thanks again.
