Default 2007 XJ8 Bluetooth Cell Phone Pairing

Hello Everyone,

My friend Kim has a 2007 XJ8. She wants to pair her cell phone to her car, but does not seem to have the "Audio System Manual"...that would tell us how to do it.

I am trying to figure out out she can pair her phone to the car. I found these instructions:
Install phone to jaguar bluetooth

Can someone tell me if these are the proper instructions to do it?

Thanks,
Jeff

here you go: with the screen on key turned in ignition press ##3#*# then press the making call button it should then say discover me on youre phone go to bluetooth settings then look for bluetooth on,then locate/discover devices when its found jaguar on youre screen click o/k then it should ask for passcode which is 1313 then go to authorise device on youre phonr that should get it connecting automatically each time you leave then re enter the car

I've got the 2005 manual as a pdf - it should be the same, as it works on my 2006 XJR. If you would like to pm me with your email address I'd be delighted to email it to you. The instructions above are correct.

Edit: if I succeed, the aforementioned file will be attached now. Fingers crossed.

XJRont,

That's awesome. I was able to download the PDF from your link. I will send her the PDF and tell her you were kind enough to share it with us!

Thanks!
Jeff

Default Can aniPad be Bluetooth enabled to a 2006 Jaguar XJ?

My iPhone is connected to my 2006 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas and works really well with it. Does anyone know if you can connect an iPad (which has Bluetooth on it) to the Jaguar? If so, it would negate having to install and iPod connector and I could stream Pandora through the iPad and the phone connection.

I am looking to purchase an iPad and this will make the purchase a no brainer.

trying to pair my new phone with Jag XJ8L 2006. When I press the left hand phone button the screen tells me "No Service" and after entering the code ##3#*# nothing happens and phone will not find jag... any thoughts?

Never sure what position ll is on the ignition switch either so have tried every position with the same results.

Try the code ##1#*#. That was the code that was in my phone manual. I also have a 2006 XJ8L. That worked when I paired up my iPhone 4.

It's possible that you may not have the Bluetooth module in the car, or it could be bad. I've never seen that other code either... But that's just me...

Here is another message that dealt with Bluetooth pairing. I copied pages from my phone manual that addressed how to pair the phone to the Bluetooth in the car.

Wow genius. The irony is jaguar dealers in glasgow weren’t able to find a pin for my jag XJ6 2007. They apparently didn’t know default pin was 1313. They suggested the common ones like 0000, 1234, etc. LOL.
