My 2007 XJ8 VDP came with a completely leather wrapped heated steering wheel. I can feel the heat at the 10 & 2 o'clock positions when I turn on the window heat. I want to swap it with a 2008 XJ8 wood steering wheel that has wood at those two positions Since the replacement wheel has wood at those positions, does it still provide the heating function? yes the wood wheels are heated

most of the STR/portfolio wheels aren’t

 

My 2004 Super v8 has half wood and half leather and on mine the wood is certainly the area to warm up
