Default 2008 XK wheels on an 2004 XJ fittment?

I found some 18" (8.5 front, 9.5 rear) venus wheels from a 2008 XK. I have 18" (18x 8.5 all around) on my 2004 XJ8. Will these work with no problems on my XJ? They are awesome looking wheels.

I've read the ride will suffer and staggered wheels on an XJ's is far from ideal.

There was a thread with similar question and one comment was that the ABS/DSC may not like different wheels on the front and back.

What are the tire sizes?

You need to know the diameter, width itself doesn't mean anything as far as the ABS etc. goes but the different diameter can/will cause problems.

He hit it exactly. I was thinking of a staggered set up and several techs informed me that it throws off the ABS and DSC systems pretty bad.

This is evidenced by even the high-performance XJR having the same set up all around.

Diameter doesnt do anything really considering 17"-20" wheels are interchangeable on XJs (18"s & Up if you have an R or Super V8) 2004 and up as long as they are the same size all the way around.

Hope this helps Erik!
