Hello Everyone!
New to the forums so I wanted to drop a line or two. I’ve owned a 2001 XJ8 VDP that didn’t last long due to failed timing chain tensioners. Beautiful Esmerald Metallic; such a thrill to drive, yet such a disappointment in the end.
That didn’t deter me from the big cats as I patiently waited for the perfect XJ8 VDP to reappear. This past weekend I finally came across the Jaguar destined fo me. A very pristine 2008 X358 VDP, facelift, coilover converted suspension and all the bells and whistles you’d expect from this pedigree car make. Looking forward to learning more about it and chatting it up with you guys. Cheers! 2001 X350 VDP - Classy but R.I.P. 2008 X358 VDP - Beefy and Refined
Both are, and were very nice cars you have! I had a 2001 VP Supercharged that got hit and totaled parked in front of my business. 2001 was metallic black, I love that car and gave me very few issues in 5 years with it. It was replaced with a solid black one owner 2005 Super. I have a soft spot for these cars, I have to admit.....
I was very fortunate to find this color. I came across a few contenders but I wouldn't have been 100% thrilled with them despite of immaculate service records and their condition. This one makes me look back at it as I walk away from it whenever I park it. Cheers!
