Default ACM Where to buy?

I have a 2005 XJ8 VDP (NAV screen , no rear entertainment). I want to add the ACM for aux input, but I can't find a place to buy it anywhere! I've searched and searched for hours. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Or if there is another solution to get aux input that is not an FM transmitter. Thank you!!

If you want something, you'd "search" for it. Just took me a quick search (for you) to find ALL the info you need on it...

Be aware this is only a bluetooth A2DP adaptor unit. Not an Aux in unit.
But brilliant all the same.

Yep, thanks Marque. I thought I read through the thread already but clearly missed the page with the order form as I thought it was still in beta. I see others did the same. I must have stopped reading it

My ears are shot now so $300 is too pricey "for me" just to pair my IPOD when all it gains me is access to more music vs. FM. Hearing aids are great but they don't improve hearing near enough.

Now if I could still hear worth a damn, like I could @ 30 and I was able to appreciate every note and nuance, then maybe.

Sucks getting old...

ACM's are twice the price, if you can find one. Crappy sound. Wires need to be connected and are cumbersome (not like BT). And to top it off, reliability is totally spuratic. But they are ony $600-$700, not a bad deal. O wait, there's more, you wil need a different cable for each device. You do the math. And customer suport for the ACM....Bueler...Bueler.....

Welcome to the forum Ken, don't forget your intro in the new members section.

The ACM was supplied through the dealers but they are like hen's teeth now, I'd research a different solution if I were you.

Default Bluetooth

Yeah Veffremov's box is definitely the way to go! Just placed my order with him. Seems so much better than an ACM for 700 bucks that's not even bluetooth, and a more complicated install, not to mention notoriously unreliable. Cant wait to get the box!

That's nonsense. Sound quality is excellent. As good or better than CD. I've had an ACM for nearly 4 years and its never given me any issues. I have an old style 150GB ipod that I leave connected at all times loaded with all my music. That way I never have any of the space or battery issues that come with storing or streaming music on your phone. Although, if you're just using pandora or something like that, the bluetooth would be an excellent alternative.

Agreed the ACM sound quality is great, in fact I discarded the FM modulator from the original satellite radio and reconnected it directly through the aux. RCA inputs of the ACM. I just disconnect the iPod to listen to the Sat radio, it sounds much better.

I'm sure veffremov's Bluetooth device is an excellent option both functionally and economically but unfortunately it wasn't available at the time I was looking for the ACM.
