Hello

When cold I get an error messgage adaptive cruise not working. When warmer the error message is not present anymore, but still not able to turn on the cruise Control. Nothing happens when i press the buttons. The forward alert system works as it should when cruise fault message is not present.

I guess the radar module is ok since forward alert is working. What kind of software is needed to read the status of the cruise control system??

Any suggestions to what can be wrong appreciated

99% chance to me that this is a battery not in peak condition, especially since you mention "when cold." How cold are you meaning? Do you Mean really cold outside, or just cold as in the first startup of the morning?

 

Battery is new and always on a trickle charger since the car is only used occasionally.

I can agree with the battery. It has been minus with two digits here in Norway latent.

Thing is that when the error message is not present the cruise is still dead. If I press the plus button to engage nothing happens.

There are usually 2 switches on the brake pedal, one for the light and one to dectivate cruise when you brake. If the cruise switch is broken then cruise control wont work.

For diagnostics for CC faults you will need Jag software, laptop and a mongoose cable
