Riffing on a recent post by MBJAG and Tigre, I wonder if my window trim might have been damaged by a mistaken identity problem:



This problem is only on the single piece of trim, dull swirly pattern, X3. Perhaps a chemical chrome polish not for aluminum? Just bought the car, one of only a few blems, but very puzzling.
Any suggestions about a cautious DIY approach? Next stop would be a detailer, maybe?

 

It's anodized aluminium. Very hard to polish. Try to wrapping it by chrome vinyl film. expensive film. the result will be amazing
