Another Air suspension fault.
Took off front calipers this weekend, gone to refurbish them (seized pistons from corrosion) .On doing this I bent back the bracket holding the suspension height sensor.Disconnected the sensor and straightened bracket out and replaced. When powering car back on the front air bags went to maximum height and was showing air suspension warning on the dash.I thought it could be a damaged sensor so ordered a new one which arrived today.Fitted and has not made a blind bit of difference.I have British Diagnostics JLR/SDD software and have tried all sorts but to no avail.Disconnected battery but warning still there. The only time I can get rid of the warning is by putting the car into customer mode but as soon as I go to do a calibration the warning sign is back.
Anyone have an idea as how to get rid of this warning or a way around it so I can re calibrate the suspension, any info would be greatly received.Typical I needed the car this week as well I knew I should have done the brakes next week.

Also I have just noticed as soon as I start the car the compressor kicks in.It runs for a while then releases some air.Could this be a fault of a relay not telling it when to stop.
Thanks Steve.
Thanks Steve.
Hi Steve,
It's late and my brain is tired, but the first question that comes to mind is: have you driven the car since you did the caliper work? Some of the modes the air suspension enters, such as Jacking Mode, can only be exited by driving the car above a minimum speed (I think it's just 3 mph to exit Jacking Mode).
Your air compressor will typically run for up to 2 minutes at startup to repressurize the air reservoir (the compressor charges the reservoir, the reservoir charges the air springs). The release of air is normal. The exhaust valve is opening to backflow dried air through the desiccant bed to partially dry and reactivate the desiccant beads.
You can download the Air Suspension & ECATS section of the Dealer Training Manual from this forum at this link:

Another question that occurs to me is: when you reinstalled the ride height sensor, is it possible the jointed/articulated arm was bent the wrong way? I think the manual has illustrations that show the proper arm orientation.
Hopefully other members will have more suggestions.
Cheers,
Don

All sorted now.I let the air out of the front shocks so it was sat right down. I knew the problem lay in the software.I reconfigured the air suspension module and then recalibrated the heights. This has now worked and the car is again usable hooray.
How did you reconfigure the air suspension module?

Battery was hooked up to a charger while I was doing this to be on the safe side.Software is from a company called British Diagnostics. The software I've got is 1001-JLR IDS SDD V130 Kit.
It was caused by me bending the height sensor bracket.I straightened this out and replaced the sensor for a brand new one but I think the old one is ok.At least I've got a spare now. This made the front shocks default to max height. It was getting it back down was a pain in the ***.
