Default Arden 21s plus show and shine success at Fastlane Car Show

Thought I'd share some photos from today showing the Arden 21s fitted plus as an added bonus for me came runner up in the special merit category at this year's Fast lane car show.

All cleaned up using rotary with meguiars compound then all holograms and swirls polished out with a DA polisher with the 2 stage meguiars DA specific polish system, calipers repainted, wheels cleaned and polished using autoglym custom wheel cleaner, interior cleaned with zymol leather cleaner and megs quick interior detailer.

Ready for the June meet now :-).

@Alec - Yeah after many trials and tribulations finally got them on (and staying up!)

Definitely think they set the car off :-)

Very nice wheels.
Can you tell us if the ride comfort is noticeably altered compared to 20's?

The ride is no different really vs the 20s (anything is comfortable compared to my rs2000 on konis though!)

The car handles better but that will be due to the arms, drop links, track rods and alignment I had done as well as the new continental sport contact 6s these tyres are exceptional just waiting for the rears to wear so I can get some on the back!

I was thinking those wheels must have traveled at least once round the world and a good few owners.

Hopefully Caldoofy keeps them on longer than anybody before!

Looks great, caldoofy!

Same color as our '04 but yours definitely looks meaner and far more aggressive. Nice upgrades and mods!

Cheers,

Don

Thanks all, it's just about there externally now and I do love those wheels and have since Cambo originally got them!

Next on the list is the xkrs brakes (380 mm front and 380 mm rears ( I actually had some alcons but for the difference in size and having to mess about with separate rear handbrake caliper I chose to sell them and go for the easier option plus if it's good enough for the flagship model......).

These should be with me in the next few days allied to some dimpled and groved discs should give the performance and look I am going for.

Cambo how's the lowering module coming along? I need one so it can sit on the floor in the works car park! Lol

Wanna say nicely done! Any cutting needed for the 21s in rear to make wheels fit with no rub? I have the same car running the same wheel set up an it rubs. Guessing I should take 1 inch hub centric wheel adapters off? Please lmk thanks.

Hi Abel,
In terms of mods required, yes I had to cut the inner arch liner and remove one fixing stud located at twelve o clock as you look into the arch, this is particularly important as it would no doubt puncture the tyre if left on. That all I did, other than that went straight on with no rubbing (I run a 5 mm spacer on the front for aesthetics.

Get a pic up of your car with those spacers on I want to see as with 25mm spacers the wheels must be hitting off the outer arches!? Are you running the 10x21s on rear?

Nice wheels.
But you should certainly remove the spacers on the rear wheels not to rub the outer arches.
Maybe smaller spacers, such as the 5 mm ones that caldoofy put on his car (or 10 mm) may be required however not to rub the inner arches...

Fronts will still fit, rears won't.
