Welcome to the forum Christine25,

I've copied this question from your Intro to X350 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

When you say "on and off" do you mean it shuts off completely or that the radio switches from FM to AM.

Years ago when I still had my dealership a couple of miles from the space center in Florida we had a series of problems (we weren't alone as evidently this was also a minor national problem) with car radios mysteriously losing their minds and going a tad whacko. It was several months before someone was able to point to a source. It seemed that it would happen most often on a certain stretch of highway that passed the Canaveral Air Force base and the likely culprit was a spurious radio or radar frequency that would confuse the internal tuning circuits in the factory radios. Once Chrysler added a bit more shielding to those circuits the problem went away.

Even now my '99 XK8 will every once in awhile switch from FM to AM when passing under a major high tension transmission line. I would think if it starts happening a lot that the electronic 'noise' suppression circuits were failing.

Only an semi-educated guess mind you but probably pretty close.
