Default auto transmission fluid change

I have a 2004 (X350) XJ6 which is just coming up to 80,000 kms.
Does anybody known if and when the auto transmission fluid should be changed.
Cheers.

Jag says unit is sealed and does not need fluid changed. They base that on the 100,000 mile warrantee. Do a search on fluid change in this forum. There is a kit available with 7 quarts fluid, filter, new pan and new hardware mentioned. I bought a kit and changed my fluid on a friend's lift. You will see smoother shifts as a result. I found it to have been worthwhile.

That's old news and Jaguar based it off the original manufacturer's warranty. ZF changed their recommendation in 2012. 80k miles or 8 years is due. See this sticky and the info is in one of the attachments, post 8 maybe.

It's tighter than that; it's 8 years or 80-120,000 kms which translates to 50-75,000 miles.

Yep thanks for clarifying. I did mean 80k kms, not miles, as I was referencing the OP's mileage.
