It's not Russian regulations, it's ROW regulations for a coded radio and worldwide regulation for immobiliser.

It is certainly pointless to have a coded radio that can be opened in seconds, after a minutes research on the web. If there are regulations requiring or permitting such a thing, they are also pointless.


I have no idea who would issue such pointless regulations.

Don't forget that when our cars were new this method was totally unknown.
So i can't call it pointless.
With some of reverse-engeneering you can hack almost everything, but that doesn't mean that there's no need in protection. At least it keeps out kids and dumb thefts.
