Default Battery drained after installing isimple

I tried installing " iSimple IS32 TranzIt " in my car - Everything went smooth as per detailed guide by "stham" - After connecting the wires I switched on the car and was able to connect to the Bluetooth Received which was connected to ISimple's Aux in - I streamed music from my phone and listened on the car stereo - It worked. However i felt that i needed to increase the gain and for that i switched off the car, locked it and after 5 minutes came back. Now when i switched on the car - the navigation screen went black - all sorts of warnings started appearing in the dashboard - I tried starting the car and it wouldn't - Th engine behaves as if the battery is down. Seems something drained the batteries. I am perplexed as everything worked fine until i switched the car of and than switched it back again. I have uninstalled the Isimple device for the time being and plan getting the battery charged tomorrow morning.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default UPDATE

I coudnt get the battery charged yesterday. The car remained in the driveway overnight with the ISIMPLE remove. In the morning i tried starting it and it started - everything including the touchscreen is working - only warning in the instrument panel left in "cruise not available" - it probably means that I messed up the connections? i

Remove both battery cables from your car battery. Hold them so the each cable is connected to the other cable. Give this about 15 seconds to clear gooched warnings/readings. Replace battery cables accordingly. Recharge your battery if voltage at rest is reading below 12.6VDC per a VOM or DVM.

A fully charged vehicle battery should read battery anywhere from 13.0VDC to 13.5VDC depending on size of the battery and age of the battery. In a previous discussion on various batteries for our vehicles I chimed in. Then tested my (7) year old AutoCraft H8 battery; it read 11.1VDC. I have no idea how the starter motor was engaging. Swapped it out the same day for new Advance Auto Platinum. It worked well in our extreme summer heat. Good luck.

Very good chance battery needs full charged, or replaced.
The cruse not available, often indicates a bad battery.
