Default Bilstem Air Spring p/n C2C42352

Does anyone have drawing showing the break down of bilstein air spring? I have a leak around the top of the strut near the electrical connection. Before i rush out and purchase to new air springs wondering if this might simply involve replacing a oring.

Is the Bilstein air spring B4 44-069483 a direct replacement for C2C41352? If so compatible with CAT system

Were your old struts sport or comfort?

The air bag "spring" is unlikely to be the problem. At the top of the unit there is a moulded rubber seal that eventually allows air to leak past it. Normally this is not a huge leak and the system deals with it by allowing compressed air into the spring bag, to restore vehicle height. This seal is not replaceable, but with the air spring removed to give access, it would be possible to apply sealant to the inside face of this seal and thus reseal it. This was discussed many years ago soon after I bought my first X350 in 2010.

I'm in my late 50's with back problems. The cats system is adjustable in ride height and damping level depending on the speed and attitude of the vehicle. All the aftermarket struts I researched including Arnotts have a resistor to stop lights on the dash. These struts either come in comfort or sport as they have a normal shock absorber type insert something I didn't want. The strut that failed was an aftermarket Arnotts unit fitted by the previous owner just before I bought the car in 2012.
The companies that recondition them only rebuild the air spring section not the strut. The struts I ordered are from a OEM type manufacturer in China and have the cats valving fitted. Rather than write about them I'm trialing them for a year and that's the amount of Warranty provided on the struts..As I've said PM me

I don't think the sport versions are available anymore.

"We" look forward to your report on the Chinese ones, Doc. Don't take too long please.
I personally don't have a problem with Chinese, so long as they stay out of Taiwan. Damn, I'm even writing this on a Lenovo been going 7yrs so far.
I thought I'd seen another user of this stuff, but it was just a mention:
Air Suspension Components: Where to buy (and not) as of August 2021 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

(My preference would be to keep the air system as and when it fails. Until I actually have to pay of course)
