2005 jaguar vanden plas xj8 I have an intermitent bussing sound and a sound like actuators moving really fast behind center console is this heater control valve? my heat also does not come out of the the drivers side vents . i think it may be a clogged heater core? any one had these symptoms?

 

Sounds like the motor(s) for the flap(s) that direct air flow.

The valve is elsewhere.

 

+1 on the heater air control flaps.

A blocked heater matrix usually results in no heat on the driver's side but there is

no valve on the coolant and a blockage would not cause any noise.
