Default Can’t decide which one, help a guy out?

Hey guys I’m a newbie so please pardon my inexperience with some details. Shopping for my 1st XJ and here are my options, curious to see what the majority of you guys say..

1 - 05 Supercharged 120,000 miles clean title no issues, asking $7000

2 - 06 XJ8 80,000 miles clean no issues $7000

3 - 06 XJ8 L 124,000 miles clean again no issues $4700

Obviously I’ll have to see them I person and drive them but based on the information above which would you choose?

I would always go for lower mileage, other things being equal. As well as a later year.

There are plenty here who would swear by a supercharged. Depends what you want, I'm happy with the V6 but then I'm an old man.

Although I have one already, I still browse the For Sales and the first things I look for are:
-The burl walnut dash, any funny patterns there? You're gonna be looking at it a lot.
-Some cars don't have the Touch-screen (but two smaller LCD displays)
-Wear on the drivers seat
-Which buttons are blanked-out (e.g. seat cooling buttons, possibly Adaptive Cruise Control which I think is a rare option.)
-Some of the higher-spec'd ones have fold-down trays for the rear passengers. I never sit in the back, but I still hope to become respectable one day.
-Dings. I always find them AFTER I've bought.
-Service History. This doesn't seem to be a big deal, except nice to have a full history when you come to sell.

I would say buy No2 as it's the lowest miles all things being equal, although they usually aren't ! Only a personal inspection will really inform you of which one to go for. If you go for the supercharged one, check for valley hose (replacement) because this is a definite failure and is a PITA to fix as the labour costs a fortune for what is a £20 part. The hose is underneath the supercharger, so all of that has to come off.

Jump on the supercharged car. I've owned a few Saab Turbos and really wanted a supercharger. Passed on a local lower mileage XJL and drove hours to get a XJR. The car is so addictive and really makes you grin when you hear the whine and feel youself pushed back into the seat.

You only live once so go for it.

XJR of course.

It depends on what kind of upkeep the different cars have had.
For example. Tires, air springs, bushings, hoses. If worn , replacement will cost initial price of car.

My Fiance has an XJL. I can't seem to find value for the additional 6" in length. The added space only benefits the rear passenger. No added leg room. I, on the other hand have an '04 XJR..... As previously stated, "You only live once". The supercharger is a blast.

Second one, has low mileage, no supercharger, so it was probably NOT HAMMERED very much if at all.

With that said, the best value is #2.
