Default Cannot reflash TCM

I finally did the filter/fluid change on my 04 XJR today. I only stripped two of the T27 bolts, and visegrips took those right off. I replaced them with the T40 bolts. I got almost 6 quarts of old fluid out, and refilled with 6 quarts of Lifeguard Six. Other than it being a messy job I didn't have any trouble.

Now for the trouble - when I got WDS a couple of months ago I cleared the transmission adaptations and it fixed almost all the harsh shifting problems. Now that I've done the fluid change I was going to clear the adaptations again and reflash the TCM. However, when I try to reflash either the ECM or the TCM it tells me I have emissions related DTC's I must clear first. I do have some codes - random cylinder misfire, cylinder X misfire for each one, and misfire exceeds emissions rate. The problem is they all appear to be permanent codes and I can't figure out how to clear them. Is there a way to do this or am I stuck?

If you have P1582 then you need to go to the CONFIG tab and then SPECIAL APPLICATIONS (EDR= Engine Data Recorder)or 'Flight Data Recorder' (I know the car cannot FLY).

You can read the EDR and then upon EXIT it will ask if you want to CLEAR DATA.
Hit the GREEN TICK and it will clear the P1582 DTC in the ECM.

You should be able to clear ALL DTCs from the TCM/ECM with WDS.
You can clear each module independently or highlight the top (complete vehicle) and erase with the 'ERASER' tab.

That worked. I cleared the flight data recorder, then reflashed the ecm and tcm. No problems. Thanks! :-)
