Planning on sticking a catch can on XJR. Want to stop oil build up in the inter coolers. May be way too late already.
But my initial thought was in series with crankcase ventilation valve. Prior. Read it would interfere with valve operation. Cannot believe a metal can and a couple feet of hose will make the fancy PVC valve less than fully operational. Reducing oil into the valve seems like a big positive.

 

Jackra straightened me out on where to plumb in the catch can. Will start on this soon.
Was looking at the inter coolers. The finish looks fantastic. Externally they appear to have been repainted. No blisters or other issues. Pictures I have seen of them do not look this clean.
Do here intercoolers appear to have been serviced?

They do look very clean on the exterior.

No gaurantee as to whether they were taken off to clean or paint. So interior matrixes could be good or not?

 

mine has never been off in 220k the finish is the same

 

okay, means nothing then. I have seen pictures of inter coolers from a XJR that looked rough.
