MY CD changer does not want to work. Never has since I bought the car. I have tried repairing it according to some directions I found on here but it still does nothing. It will move the carriage up and down but will not pick out a cd. All the gears and levers are lubricated. Any other ideas before I start digging deep into the guts of this machine.

Followed the instructions in this link and got mine back.

 

You do not have the D2B network CD changer that the newer cars have.
You need to post on the X308 forum.

I just put a CD changer on ebay that I removed from a 2004 XJ8 with only 35k miles. Ebay Store Name jagporscheparts.

 

I tried the grease thing again, and again, and again. I think I did it 5 times before it would start to run but it works now. Thanks for all who offered help or parts.

 

I also have an issue with the in-dash CD Player below the navigation screen. It worked fine driving out to California...and on the return home the disc ejected and I have been unable to put a disc in since.

Also my CD Changer in the truck will not engage any discs...it went out first.

Can anyone assist?
