Not the greatest lighting in the photo, but as you can see, the center console latch in my 2005 XJ VDP is damaged. (It was this way when I bought the car.) Can I just replace the latch? If so, anyone know the part number? Or do I need to replace the entire lid?

You might need to double check if VDP is the same, but for x350 I think this might be the latch you are looking for......

I think that is the one for the console that comes with the 4-zone climate control. Lots of posts about that one, but I'm pretty sure it's different from the one I need.

 

You're right.....there just doesn't seem to be any information around about that style of release latch.
Looks like it is either a refurbishment of your current latch with a re-chroming or faux re-chroming process, or finding a good replacement arm rest (which there seems to be a number up on eBay presently).
