Default Clock Backlight Replacement on 2007 XJR

Hi all, the light is out behind my clock on my 08 XJR (77k miles)... gotta fix it. The green-lighted analog clock really tied the interior of the car together at night. If any of you have changed your bulb on this model I'd like to ask the following questions:

1. After perusing this forum, there are a couple very good descriptions of this process on an 04 XJ8 and VDP. Do the 07 models have the same assembly where you have to go in through the back seat air vents and take off all the panels from there? Or is there a different process?

2. Can anyone confirm if this has an LED or incandescent bulb? And anyone know the part number of the green bulb?

3. Anything else worth doing behind the panels since I will have them off?

Thanks everyone - I've had this car for three years and you all have helped so much so far. -P

I've done it, and the only problem I had was finding the green bulb. It is, BTW, incandescent. That explains why we're all needing to replace them. Anyway, I tried staining the bulb with glass stain, but wasn't crazy about the color match. Then another forum member posted the link to tiny green sleeves to slide over the easily obtainable clear bulb, and the difference was worth the trouble. Do yourself a favor and order the bulb and green sleeves now, before you contemplate starting in. It's not a job you want to do twice.

Thanks for he reply!! Can you share the part number or the link where you bought the bulb? And did you have to get in same way as previously described with taking off the rear seat air vents then the panels, etc? Thanks so much, P

I don't think the bulbs are available from Jaguar anymore. I have a green LED equivalent I got from an ebay vendor that does lots of Jag and LR bits like this. This is the part number C2C3441

This is the ebay vendor I got it from https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274340647680

F Y I,
The key needs to be turned on, for the clock to light up.
Unlike the other lites, that come on without the key turned on.
Thought i had a bad bulb, when the lites were first turned on.
