Any suggestions about replacing interior clock. Someone said the x350 model jag clock is the same. Thanks

X350 run a completely different harness and clock.

You need an X308 clock, plenty of which are on a particular auction site, pretty simple to change, by pulling the trim panels off, removing 4 pozi vent screws and unclipping the clock. I would suggest fitting a new bulb to whichever clock you decide on, there are a couple of different styles depending on model year.

I agree with Sean about fitting a new bulb. You probably know this, but I'll mention it anyway just in case: The bulb itself looks blue, but it's not. It has a blue rubber filter stretched over it. You can buy a new bulb, but you'll need to re-use the little blue thing, so remove it gently because they can be brittle.

Interesting, had no idea. What else was offered in the x308s I wonder? Time to go hunting I guess.

Early clock on the left. Later clock on the right. I know the 98’s had the early clock. I’m not sure when the later clocks were installed. My wife’s 00’ XJ8 has the later clock. So either the later clocks were in the 99’ MY or 00’ was the first year.

This is the early clock part number. 4 pins.

Later clock with 6 pins.

I have an early clock in my 03’ SV8 so don’t worry about number of pins. I was just pointing it out. I didn’t realize there was a part number for the bulb on the sticker.

My 01 obviously has the later model.. Very functional, but I think it doesn't look right...its kind og cheap looking to me compared to the rest of the interior.

Apparently the dash clock out of an Aston martin vanquish will fit directly. I kind of like this look, goes with my oatmeal seats and is still quite legible.

Interesting idea.

Since the clock is a ford part are there any other cars that cross reference the jag clock.

Everything someone gets into my car, they always complement the clock.

I think I have a later model clock that I don't need and will give to someone super cheap, I bought it and decided I preferred the one I had instead. I vaguely remember testing it for functionality, it was fine just the backlight bulb is dead.

I like the look too, the cream color would work well with my oatmeal interior I think. Trick is to 1) find one and 2) have it not be $200 because its an Aston Martin clock. If I found one for $40 or so I'd be on board.

It’s funny the Aston reference comes up. We just got this in the shop this past Monday.

2002 Aston Martin Vanquish V12

There’s your clock mayhem. $40 sounds good to me. I hope the customer doesn’t mind. 😂

Send me your payapl...or venmo or whateverthehellyouuse.com

Thats a specatular car with a LOT of Jag (and I'm sure other FoMoCo subsidiary) bits in it...the whole center stack, its slightly rearranged, but wow! True unattainable dream car, especially with a stickshift.

Manual transmission, flappy paddles, no stick shifter, drive it like an automatic. Does *not* have an automatic transmission.

Funny about clocks… when my pre-teen g’son first rode in my ‘09 XJ Super V Portfolio he asked, “Pop, what it that?” I said, “Caleb, that is a clock.” He stared for a bit and said, “Oh.”
