Since fitting a cold air filter kit to my 2004 XJR had nothing but problems misfire codes restricted performance. So on the lookout for original air intake system to see if that helps.....

 

What happened to the one you took off, or was there one to start with?

 

It was damaged .

 

They can be found on ebay - about $150 for the airbox and lid.

If interested I have the rubber plenum from the air box to SC. I have a Caldoofy intake.

If you find just the air box I have a spare lid also.

Here are the codes that are showing on Torque P0300,P0302,P0306,P0308,P1000,P1316,P1646 plus restricted performance on the dash. I was told by garage that it was air leaking with fitting new enclosed filter at my wits end here ... replaced maf sensor ...help !!! cheers

 

Check your injectors.

If you had air leaks you would see P0171 or P0174

You have misfire codes too P0300 - P0308 codes...

P1646 - oxygen sensor - upper, bank 1

 

Regarding injectors had a look today and am I right in saying the supercharger has to come off check them plus is there a way to clean out injectors in situ without stripping all down ..

 

Just a heads up I have been told by the garage that I dislodged the Vacuum pipe at the rear of the engine when I was working on the car and have now been given a bill for £ 600 for costs of repair .... only bought the car 4 months ago and has been back to the dealer for 2 months trying to get this sorted amongst other problems very disheartened but still love my XJR ...
