I need a compressor suggestion please. There are many compressors and am sure that there are only a few that meet the specs for a Jaguar.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for that, is Wabco the preferred by all? Only ask because probably supplied to Jag as the lowest bidder!
It's a big enough purchase you don't want to make too often.
Thanks for suggestions.....

In case it helps, I repaired the original Wabco compressor on my car at 90K miles. I used a Bagpiping Andy kit mentioned earlier by bkoko (the kit has great instructions BTW). I also replaced the drier and filter, which I'm not sure was really necessary. Total cost was $151.00 and a couple of hours. Its working perfectly now. I could be wrong (and often am) but there isn't a lot of room for the compressor, or slack air line or wiring harness OEM will ensure it fits and works. A replacement would need correct positioning for the air outlet and electrical connection, physical connection for the mounting, electrical characteristics and CFM. You get the idea. I'd try the Bagpiping Andy kit first rather than experiment "off-piste". BTW - I needed a low risk fix - my driveway has a wicked bump - I can't get to the road with the "vehicle too low". HTH!

Thanks for the info. I will go the Wabco route. I understand the compressor on this vehicle has been replaced before so I have to get it removed and check the manufacture.
If it's a Wabco I will go for the Bagpiping Kit.
Just for info how loud if the compressor when running, mine seems very loud and has a clunking sound. Wondering if there is more wrong with it and should just spend for a new one!

When it runs it is barely audible over the engine at idle from outside. It sounds like an electric motor - no clunks etc.. Its completely quiet from inside the car. BTW - my cost of $151 was for the parts only - I supplied the labor.

Yes will do, see how it goes.

The You Tube video shows the removal of the "front section engine compartment paneling" across the width under the front bumper, is the really necessary to be able to remove the bumper shroud?

That's exactly how I did it - both large plastic pieces need to be removed. I wrote a little article on this for our Jaguar Club magazine, which confirmed both parts needed to be removed.

https://sdjagclub.wildapricot.org/re...%20January.pdf

The plastic pieces were reasonably easy to remove and seemed durable enough. They went back OK also!

HTH, Dave

Suspension working well now except a slow leak in both the front cylinders.
Looking at some diagrams shows the plenum in the trunk under the tire running two tubes, one to each suspension cylinder.
Both have this same rate of leak and wondering what is in common with both sides would cause this?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
