I had an ODD experience. My 2004 VDP experienced overheating. Upon inspection, the nipple from the coolant overflow broke off at it's base. I had it replaced for $195. This seemed expensive for a simple plastic container and installation. Has anyone else had a similar repair? Was I overcharged?

Thats a common problem with the X350. Cheap plastic parts. I had the same repair done on my old 04 XJ8. Just around the same price.

 

Sounds about right, 1 hour labor @$120 + $50 part + quart of coolant + tax/fees.

 

that part is much more than $50, I had mine replaced and the new coolant tank was around $140

 

There is a difference in the tank on the supercharged engine.
