Arrow creaking air spring

my left rear makes a creaking noise whenever the suspension makes a slight move.
With jacking the car, I feel the noise to come out of the air spring.

beside the noise, everything is fine .. no leaks or warnings.

Is it possible to spray some oil behind the rubber joint of the air spring to get rid of this creaking ?
Is creaking a sign of a allready doomed air spring ?

Default Check sway bar links

My XJR had the same issue. It was the rear sway bar links. Rubber was GONE.
Get the car on a lift and look over all the rubber parts. Many of them age quickly.

Could also be a seized ball joint. I saw a fairly ancient Honda SUV with the RH front wheel dangling out of the wheel arch, in our village two weeks ago. Lower ball joint on the hub-carrier had snapped off. Owner had heard squeaking and mechanic confirmed fault, but couldn't get the car in until Monday of the following week. Little noises can have big consequences.

At least he wasn't proceeding at speed down the M6 motorway !!

Could also be the shock absorber that is internal to the air shock. I had a similar issue on a front shock and purchased a rebuilt unit from Arnott that resolved the problem

Default Take a close look at the lower control arm inside bushings

I thought my sway bar links were squeaking and creaking. Got worse, sometimes when I got out it creaked. Going down the road it was very evident if you were not in the car.
On rebuild it was the inside bushings on the control arm. One was completely toast.
From underneath you should be able to see the condition. If they are ripped and cracked replace.

I also have a creaking from the rear, most noticeable when the car is off and in park when I open the trunk and sit on the rear bumper - it creaks as the weight is added, then creaks again when I get up. It will do it less loudly if a rear seat passenger gets out of the rear seat after the car is off and in park. Kind of a groaning creaking noise.

So, took the car to the indy Jag place today. They called me back and said they raised the car and looked around and the rear suspension is working as it should be. I asked about the rubber parts on the sway bar ends, and they said they are acceptable. They said perhaps some rubber parts have dried out with age so they said they lubricated the various rubber bits and all is good. However, when I got it home creak, groan as it has been doing the past two months when i sit on the rear bumper.

I sat on the rear bumper of every other cars in my garage today (2001 Cadillac STS, 2005 BMW 330i, 2006 Mercedes E500 and 2013 Jaguar XJL) and none of them creak/groan as weight is added or removed. Of course the 2005 Jaguar didn't do this before a couple of months ago.

Perhaps the only remedy is to replace expensive components so the indy shop is telling me "everything looks good" to avoid my having to replace things that still work, albeit with this groaning noise due to aging rubber? I wish they would just come out and say that if that is the case, as their saying everything looks good is good and well except when having the rear end creak/groan when my rear seat passengers get out or luggage is added to the trunk.

I have Rhino ramps. You might try getting the back end raised safely and crawl under car. Have someone push on rear and see if you can find the noise.
The inside bushings on the lower control arms is my guess. One of mine was metal on metal. So bad that that wiggling the sway bar links caused it to squeak a little also. Thought it was the links.
Could not hear it squeak while driving. Credit to the x350 sound proofing.

I jacked my car ( with my left leg ) while laying under the car.
The noise seems to originate from the air spring internals.
I bought a used spring off ebay.. hopefully this will fix my issue.

I finally got rid of the creaking noise. It was caused by the air spring.
It took me 2 hours to exchange it.

Groaning on mine turned out to be the rear sway bar end links, both left and right side. After they were replaced, no more groaning when getting in and out of the back seat.
