Where on earth that $300+ part comes from I've no idea, it's outrageous !!
PS These arms were first used on the S-type and still are on the XF. I suspect the Lincoln LS arms are the same. There must be somebody on here who knows. I can't see Ford having a special arm made just for the S-type that was based on the Lincoln LS anyway.

Guess it won't get much better than that.
Rock Auto said that that part will NOT work on an xj.. If justjags uk has it listed as a interchangeable why doesn't rock auto? Do they just not know any better?
But yet;
FORD THUNDERBIRD (2002 - 2005)
JAGUAR S-TYPE (1999 - 2008)
JAGUAR XK (2007 - 2009)
JAGUAR XK150 (2006 - 2014)
JAGUAR XKR (2007 - 2009)
LINCOLN LS (1998 - 2005)
Please refer to catalog for application details.
That doesn't make much sense to me.

Berkshire Jags in the UK list that number, say it is a direct fit.
Another link-

I don't think you'll get lower than that $110 price, seems pretty good to me. The Justjags units are probably the original Lemforder and are marked as OEM.
You really need to hold the Rockauto part in your hands and measure it up against one off the Jaguar.

The Lemforder IS the OEM.
Just not listed on the XJ... That is what the Lemforder catalog says.
After shipping it was 287$ for both.. Long ship time.. And sold out.
That is why I went with the Lincoln (Local, can return if it isn't right).
The oem ones would have been nice, and I would have done the ones you linked they were roughly the same price before shipping.
But I need them sooner than 10 days.
Plus now we will know, FOR SURE, if the LS/ST/XF/X351/FT are the same as the XJ.
The suppliers you linked said they did and I think they do as well.
I would just REALLY like to know why there are two different molds, I think I have read that they changed the design in the later models because the older ones wore out even faster. IDK.

I think the ball-type bushes in the arms were improved. I can't see a different wishbone casting/forging making a difference. FWIW I had my rear lowers replaced in 2011, when the car was on 49k miles. No doubt I have some suspension work coming up at some point, as car is now on 91k miles.
Likewise--will be very interested to read what you figure out on this. My rear upper control arms are looking worse for wear as well.
See my thing was the ball joints. And like one bush per arm was busted open.
In the future if this all works out, the Lemforder arms from rock auto are the way to go. I still cant believe they want 140$ after shipping. Expensive, but much much much much better than dealer.
Check out post #82 for a list of other components that got replaced while doing this.
To clarify, the Lincoln LS rear upper wishbones WERE a perfect replacement also?
From the guys over there at Strutmasters -
"We received our parts late Friday. The module software is moving along. This after noon we will start on the control arms and bushing kits and I should have some better information late Tuesday or early Wednesday. The end goal is to be finished by Friday, yet do not hold me to that just yet."
2006 Lincoln LS rear upper wishbones are a perfect replacement for the 2004 Jaguar XJ8 rear upper wishbones.
I think there will be a shrine in the Jaguar X350 section of Jaguar forums just for you. I believe this was a major source of angst for many a X350 owner.
Nice job and thanks.
