Default DSC Not Avail, Cruise Not Avail, ABS Fault

04 XJR 40,000 miles. I purchased the car new and garage keep. Just replaced the brake pads and all was well until I made the first hard stop after break in period of new pads.
The following is displayed:
DSC Not Avail, Cruise Not Avail, ABS Fault
Any idea of how to correct. All fuses to the ABS are good.
Thanks
Sammy

Hi Sammy,

The first possibility that comes to mind is that while the brake work was being done, the electrical connector of one of the ABS wheel speed sensors was disconnected or disturbed, or its wiring harness was damaged. All three of the systems you mention rely on the wheel speed sensors for proper operation.

Cheers,

Don

If it was an S Type I'd say check the battery first, does that apply here also?

Hi Norri,

Yes, weak batteries seem to cause lots of otherwise unexplainable gremlins on the X350 also. The timing of the warnings occurring so soon after a brake job is what prompted me to supsect an issue with a wheel sensor. Weak batteries seem to make the car more susceptible to odd behavior, so it will definitely be worth lbeagles having his battery condition checked.

Cheers,

Don
