Electric Problems with 2004 XJ8

I had my trunk fill with water recently. I didn't discover the problem until I began to have electrical issues. I have been able to dry out my trunk, but now certain things are not working. I have lost the heater blower, the driver seat controls (but heated seats still work), and most of the lights on the back of the car (no turn signals, brake lights, or back up lights. I have checked the fuses and bulbs (one bulb was burned badly) and they should all be working now - but they don't. Someone suggested a GEM or other modules, but I don't know anything about the modules. They even said I may be able to get one at the junkyard. Any ideas where to turn?
