Default engine bogs down, fuel lean code

Engine started running roughly, installed new iridium plugs, new valve cover gaskets, Mobile 1 oil and bosch oil filter, cleaned MAF sensor w/CRC electronic spray. Engine running but kept deteriorating. Now idles fine but won't rev and has zero power. (Won't pull over a speed bump) Checked for air leaks(smoke test). Nada. No apparent leaks or cracks in air cleaner tube. exchanged MAF sensor with an old one (same car replacement a few years ago).
HELP!!!!!

Sounds like a fuel supply problem. Idles OK when not much fuel is needed, but cannot do anything else. I once had similar on an old XJ6 Series 3.

Old or new fuel injection system, it still needs a certain pressure of fuel in the fuel rail to make it work.

Are you getting any codes, is the mil light on?
A lot if the coded need 2 drive cycles to produce the nil code light but sounds like you have done that

Have you changed the fuel filter it often gets missed

You didn’t say so i'm guessing you don’t have a mongoose cable and SDD to check the codes and run tests.
If it was my car id be plugging in to diagnose si my best advise is to swap the fuel filter and get yourself a mongoose

Cheers

Could be your catalytic converters blocked !

Although having two I would think that both wouldn't die at the same time stranger things have happened

As was mentioned before, get the fuel pressure tested, probably a bad pump. This system has four major parts, the main pump, the transfer pump, the fuel pressure sensor and the ECM to run it all. If you have no codes, its probably the pump as it wil not set a code when failing. If the transfer pump fails, the car will stop running when the main pump runs out of fuel in its part of the tank, but the other side will still be full. I have never heard of this failure on the forum, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

Instructions for Win7 are in the same post as the JTIS in the downloads area.
If you cant figure that out run it in XPmode or in a VM

I run it in a winxp vm using virtualbox on my Linux system

The filter is behind the fender under the body. You need to take off the left side underbody tray (to the left of the grearbox) to get to it

Cheers
