Jaguar WARRANTY time as of 2005 was 15 hours for the 4.2 engine assy in the X350.

We charged WARRANTY time, times time and a half for customer pay. (15 x 1.5 = 22.5 hours)

I would guess a few hours a side for the control arms and airspring dampers.

What would you guess that the jaguar dealership would charge per hour and would they put in the used motor that I have?

I have not worked at the dealer since 2006 but I would guess that most dealers would decline swapping a used engine into a 10 to 20 year old car?

No idea where you are but hourly rates are dependent on location.

I don't get repairs from any dealers or repair shops so I don't know what the average hourly rate is anymore.

I'd have to guess hourly rate these days is $120-150/hr, and not a good chance a dealer will swap in a used motor that you provide but never hurts to ask. You may be better off trying to find an independent Jaguar shop. Good luck, hope you can get it done for a reasonable price. What failed on your engine that is requiring a replacement?

Pretty sure a dealer isn't going to touch that. No dealer is going to install a used anything into a car.

The ONLY times I installed used parts at the dealer was when a part was NLA or an aftermarket warranty company insists on a salvage replacement part. (like an engine or gearbox etc.)
