Anyone know if the only difference in the front wheel bearings of the V D P's is the wire,that plugs into the rear, for the a b s?

They are listed as the same part, as well as not.

Will be doing the job when things warm up some, & i can get motivated.

I have a set for the 04, & could install them to see.

But the ones on the 07 are frozen to the hub where they mount, and might be ruined by removing them..

The car would be down till new ones to git get here if not.

The price difference is the main reason i'm asking, as the old wire is fine,& could be reused if necessary.

 

DO yourself a really big favor and purchase the hub and bearing assemblies. I recently bought a pair on E bay for $62 shipped and they include the sensor and wire.

 

The ones that i ordered from Detroit Axle, for the 04, & are said to fit pretty much all except, the V D P models.

They do look the same, as the bearings, that fit S Types, XJ8's & XJ8L's.

Detroit axle's have a 10 year warranty, sensor, with wire, at $74.24, not a bad price.

The ones said to fit the V D P's, are said to also fit the others as well, but those are not from Detroit Axle, & the warranty is not for ten years

Makes me wonder W T F, are they the same, or not???
