Green Engine Jag Emblem?

Hello all,
Just purchased a 2004 Jag XJ8, love the car. Question for you more experienced owners.....In looking at several Jags some had a green Jag emblem on the engine cover and some like mine just have the embossed jag head in that spot. Did all the cars get the green emblem and some fell off or some were made with and some without?

Mine is without as well but nothing a little paint can't fix[8D]

Mine (04 XJ8) is like yours (all black).
I've never seen anything but black on 04's. (But I haven't seen very many, I must admit.)

what do you all think?
I saw several 2004 jags on ebay some with some without. Here is a good pic of one that is on ebay today shows green engine bagde very clearly.

I have noticed that also. I think it is just a hit or miss situation. I've seen it on all different trim lines.

That does look nicer than the embossed black!
I can't remember all the 04's I looked at, but I looked at 4 other XJ8's (if memory is correct) before settling on mine and I think I would have remembered the green badge on the engine if I saw it.
