All,
I have an opportunity to replace my current halogens on my 04 XJ with some xenons from on 07 XJ. Haven't studied up as yet, but will this be a plug and play or do I need to take some extra parts from the 07 to make them work? IE ballast, wiring harness etc. Any coaching greatly appreciated as I don't know these models as well as the XK and earlier, but have really fallen in love with the style and comfort.

Hi Dave,
Until someone chimes in who can give you all the answers off the top of their head, perhaps comparing the headlamp circuits in the Electrical Guides at the links below may help you determine what you need. The Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) may also be helpful. FYI our '04 XJR came with the HID setup, so the '04 Electrical Guide may contain all the answers:
