headliner clips question??

headliner clips question??
Hello All:
Can someone please tell me how to disconnect the black plastic clips/retainers that hold up the headliner. Also, how many are there. I have a rattle in my sunroof area that is driving me nuts and wish to get between the headliner and the sunroof to fix it. Do I need to replace these clips/retainers after disconnecting them? Thanks in advance!

Per the manual
"Remove and discard the five black securing clips in the roof opening panel cassette."
