Hello, I changed the battery in my key fob and I accidentally hit the valet mode in the car and now it won’t turn off. I do not have a green headed valet key. So it’s behaving as if both keys that I have to the, the car are valet keys. How do I turn that off? Much thanks,B

 

On mine, all I have to do is lock and unlock with the remote. I think that's the only actual difference with the valet key is that it won't turn off valet, otherwise nothing special about it.

 

The valet keys are a different size at the end of the key.
Could have valet metal portions of the key on his remotes.

 

I've had that happen, pretty annoying and I mindlessly fumble until it works but if I remember right, open the trunk with the physical key on the fob and it should go back to normal.

 

My valet key is just a key without FOB. When pressing valet, my glovebox doesn't open. I just have to unlock the car with the FOB and valet ist gone.
As far as I understand the valet function, the valet key allows personnel to park your car. It should not allow to open the trunk, make phonecalls, open glovebox..

 

I've done this once or twice in the past. I think what I had to do to disable it was use my key and open the car from the door handle. When you turn the key to the left to unlock it hold it in that position and it should disable valet. If that doesn't work try turning the key to the left in your door twice. It's been over a year since I last did this so I cannot entirely remember.
