how to match a color remotely ?
HI,
I killed my center armrest by messing around with paint for my black steering wheel...
On eb*y I find lots of armrests, but most vendors don't know the code/name of the color ... some give a wrong guess.
My interior is "dove", which is so close to beige and other colors, that I can hardly be sure to get the matching color by looking at fotos.
( Depending on the tone of the lightsource, the colors of the armrest change, too...)
Is there a color code written on the jag parts ?
What is a clever way to match colors just by looking at photos ?

I'm thinking of two options. When you say you killed your center armrest, if you mean you spilled dye, I think redye may be an option? You can send the part to the dye maker for a perfect colour match
Option two, the armrest supplier has the VIN. You can contact Jaguar with the VIN and they can tell you the interior colour codes.
