How to remove bumper cover?
I need to remove the bumper cover in order to replace the "chrome" molding on the right front. Because it's inserted through the bumper cover and held on with clips, the only way to replace it is by getting behind the bumper cover.
So I have the book instructions, but I can't figure out how to do the following:
I removed the fender splash shield in order to locate the retaining clips, but I can't get at them or see how they're attached.
Anyone with experience or advice? Thanks.

After removing the undershield that runs across the front underneath the radiator you need to detach the grill and then remove the top shield that covers the radiator area.
That will expose the screws either side on top that hold the top tabs of the bumper. There are two tabs either side next to headlamps on top that need to be "undone".
The next step is pulling very firmly in the outward direction where the arrows in your diagram are AFTER making sure the whole thing does not drop on the ground.

Just went through this. There is a helpful video here.
Heads-up. When you replace the bumper, be sure that the bottom edge is inserted in the grooves of the rainguard (undershield).
After I got everything back together except for screwing the bumper back on to the rainguard, only then did I realize that I missed it. It required detaching the bumper all over again. Ugh!
